In this article we have short
listed a few easy to follow steps to help you get the most out
from our Discrete Opamps .
Basic
Installation
When
unpack your Discrete Op-Amp please examine closely if any of
the pin on the socket bas been damage during transportation. If so
please refit a new socket before installing the Discrete Op-Amp.

Further
Optimize your Discrete Op-Amp
Please
solder your Discrete Op-Amp directly to the PCB board instead of
using a socket. Silver loaded solder will yield better result
compares to your average solders.
Please
remember one of the design goals of our Discrete Op-Amp is to
produce a very natural and transparence sound. That requires our
Discrete Op-Amp to have a very fast settling time which will
enable our Discrete Op-Amp to extract the finest detail in any
musical passage. However, that will also means our Discrete Op-Amp
may put more stress to your existing power supply. Please take the
following steps to further enhance your Discrete
Op-Amp:
Please
solder a good quality foil capacitor (MKP caps) across the power
intake (V+ and V-) of the Discrete Op-Amp. You can try different
value capacitor between 0.1uf to 1uf. Different value and brand
will yield slightly different result however; the rating of the
capacitor should not lower than 50V. Please see diagram below for
the different pin setting on the single and double Discrete
Op-Amp.
Power coupling cap is another key to
further enhance the performance of our Discrete Op-Amp. Some
budget CD player will only have a few low value low quality power
coupling caps for their audio stage. It is recommendable to change
them to slightly higher value and better quality type (Elna Slimic
or For Audio range, Blackgate and etc…). Our Discrete Op-Amp will
take full advantage of the stable power and give you music in a
way the musician intended.
Discrete
Op-Amp Extension?
Some
customer is having difficulty fitting their Discrete Op-Amp into
their machine because of the confined space. Why not create a soft
extension for your Burson Discrete Opamp? (Please note extension
should be as short as possible to avoid picking up background
noise)
