JUPITER Cotton-insulated Hook-up Wire

After a company re-organization and debilitating factory move, Spectra Dynamics is finally back....in a new form. With a new corporate name, Flow Flex, the Deflex product range continues to endure....a real long-time favorite of PCX customers for over 12 years now.
Whether it be the standard Deflex Panel, Folculpods, Toroid Supports, Deflex Washers or any of of our other regular Deflex parts, we have them all back in stock now!
The only unfortunate consequence is that due to the strength of the British pound, coupled with a factory price increase and higher than expected freight-in costs, pcX selling prices are up considerably. However, given their performance, we are confident that our DIY customers will still find them a relative bargain by today's standards.

JUPITER Condenser Beeswax Paper -
Aluminium Foil Capacitors
After an almost 1 year absence, JUPITER Caps are back! After a move back East, and a lengthy process of re-qualifying new OEM vendors, Jupiter has re-launched their unique line of signal caps....with a broader range, improved reliability and slightly improved technical and sonic performance, this product line is poised for a real resurgence
in the DIY marketplace.
These are large plate area capacitors (both 100V Loudspeaker and 600V signal coupling types) made of all natural materials, most notably beeswax impregnated kraft paper dielectric. Available leads are standard OFHC copper leads or 4/9 silver leads.
Jupiter Condenser capacitors are hand made in the USA using the finest specially selected materials.
For Jupiter, the dielectric was the first area to be addressed in the manufacture of their caps. From the early 1900's to the 1950's, the greatest paper capacitor research was in the area of dielectrics...with no mention of foils. Paper formulation and it's handling were key, though impregnants were deemed the most important area. Specifically, anti-oxidant characteristics of impregnants were prized. With beeswax, there are small amounts of propolis, which is anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, anti-viral, and most importantly, a very powerful anti-oxidant. This protects the paper and foil from further oxidation, and keep microbes from eating/degrading the wax and paper.
Jupiter has also adopted manufacturing practices used by RCA and techniques developed by Bell Telephone which were also implemented in Western Electric paper capacitor manufacturing. These procedures combined with Jupiter's own proprietary techniques, yield an insulation resistance that averages 50K megohm.

has in stock, "new" updated PEARL
TUBE COOLERS - without a doubt, one of the most
useful accessories in tube audio. 
Use of these devices result in reduced tube microphony for noticeably
improved sonics; and longer tube life (conservatively triple) due
to the cooler "heatsinking' the heat away from the glass enveloped,
via the thermally conductive copper-finned cooler material.
PEARL has converted (since October 2005) cooler manufacturing over to a new fin design, which provides over 60% more contact area with the tube's glass bulb/envelope. As such, the carbon fiber sleeve is no longer required for the cooler to work, as intended. As we sell out of the older design (which include the sleeve) coolers, customers will receive new stock, without the carbon fiber sleeve.
