The new SR BLUE Quantum Fuse was developed over a two year period and represents our most advanced UEF Technology to date. At its heart is a completely new UEF / Graphene coating that delivers a dramatic increase in resolution and holographic realism over SR Black. And thanks to a new conditioning process, break-in time is cut in half. In fact a brand new out-of-the-box BLUE Fuse should significantly out perform a fully broken-in BLACK Fuse and it only gets better from there with full performance after 200 hrs of continues power.
IMPORTANT NOTICE: A blown fuse is NOT the sign of a defective item – they are designed to do just that. We suggest that each customer test any fuse purchased for continuity, before installing in their gear, to ensure it is intact upon arrival. Also, given the cost of audio-grade fuses, it may be prudent to slightly uprate the amperage, to ensure that these expensive fuses do not blow prematurely. Remember, a blown fuse is not covered by any manufacturer’s warranty.

Q: Are fuses directional?
A: Yes, fuses are directional. Electricity should flow from the left to the right when you view the fuse. If you do not know the direction of flow you should listen to the fuse inserted in both directions. One direction will sound more detailed. This is the correct way.
Q: Do fuses have a burn in period?
A: Yes, most products have a settling in period. The first 200-300 hours of use are the most crucial.
